What’s New & Noteworthy
-
Big Field-of-View Imaging
The RAYQuantum delivers a maximum field of view of 16 × 10 cm (160 × 100 mm) — large enough to capture full dentition, bilateral TMJs, airway passages, third molars, and more, all in a single scan. -
High Image Quality
The unit features high resolution (down to ~150 microns in certain high-definition modes) and technologies like MAR (Metal Artifact Reduction) and DPNR (Detail-Preserving Noise Reduction) to minimize artifacts and noise. -
Fast & Efficient Workflow
Scanning and image-reconstruction times are optimized: high-resolution jaw scans reconstruct in about 7 seconds, low-dose modes are faster (about 1.5 seconds in some settings), with scan durations ranging depending on mode. -
Compact, Patient-Friendly Setup
Despite its advanced capability, the RAYQuantum is designed to fit well into dental settings without taking up excessive space. Patient positioning is made more comfortable, and predefined FOV settings ease the selection process.
Installation & Impact
The installation process was smooth and meticulously clean. The IntegDental team handled everything with professionalism, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
Dr. Chung particularly praised the crispness of the images and the clarity of anatomical features in the new scans. With the broader FOV, diagnostics that once required multiple exposures can now often be done in a single capture, enhancing
patient comfort and reducing exposure.
The Bigger Picture
This is the second RAY CBCT unit Four Corners Dental has purchased from IntegDental, a testament to confidence in both the product and the support. The enhanced CBCT capability supports better treatment planning for implants, orthodontics, TMJ work, airway analysis, and more.
